Too Good to Be True

I danced around in circles

Crossing arms in merry

And told anyone, almost everyone

Who would listen with sherry

About this boy I met

All shiny charcoal like twinkling eyes

And a million organic smiles

Too good to be true, they said.

Too good to be true, I left.

Too good to be true formed the stars.

It was too good,

So good that it left me bleary eyed

On my pillows-

Wondering about the sherry.
