I Used to Be

A bit more. Just a bit more. An ounce there, a couple of pounds here. It goes on, and on, and on. There’s no stopping point, trust me. It’s one of those infinite quests where you keep going to collect points until it’s been hours and you can’t keep your eyes open anymore.

In many ways, eating disorders are just like playing a video game for days on end or binge watching a sitcom. There are going to be outside cues that make you pause and feel guilty- the doorbell, friends calling to grab a bite, the mirror showing the dark circles…but honestly, you can’t stop. It’s too much fun, until you have missed several deadlines and the game’s over.
